Less for Css

Have you considered doing Less?

http://dotlesscss.com/

There is a T4 generator to send a file through less at compile time...so I guess that output could then be used with your script combiner.

However, would be cool to just use the less dlls and do it while compressing/minifying/etc.

Thoughts?

Reading more about your product, I guess this would be a good use of your 'filter' feature and is really just like 'HandleCssVariablesFilter', but using the less defined formats.

@waynebrantley: Thanks for bringing this cool software into my radar.  You're right, a filter should nicely route the CSS content to the Less engine.  Assume Less works nice enough (just looked at it, haven't tried), then the variables filter as well as the expression filter that I planned to implement (http://combres.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=5387) can be replaced very neatly.  I'll look more into it and code a filter if Less really does what it's supposed to do well.  The tracking ticket is created here for this feature: http://combres.codeplex.com/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=5588.

Cool, that was my thoughts exactly.

What did you think of my other discussion questions?

I've just responded to them.  Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your suggestions to Combres.  They keep me thinking hard on how to improve the software.
