Add embedded CSS or JS files from referenced assembly

Is it possible to add a link in combres to an embedded CSS or JS file from a referenced assembly?  The url is generated using a statement like this:

this.Page.ClientScript.GetWebResourceUrl(typeof(this), "FULL_RESOURCENAME.js")

and this generates a url like this to put in the header for linking to the embedded file:

/APPLICATIONROOT/Web/WebResource.axd?d=Zwec4yTKoAO...   ...554077780000000

Unfortunately, that's not possible right now

This is a feature which would really be useful for me.  I have several websites which need to use a common library of JavaScript code which is still evolving.  Being able to have the js files as assembly resources and then reference them from combres would save a lot of headaches in keeping the files consistent across projects.
